Program for favorable tourism, culture environment launched

In response to World Environment Day 2014 themed “Culture - tourism day in Ha Noi 2014”, the launching ceremony aims to emphasize important role of environment in tourism and culture business, along with preventing, minimizing environmental degradation and incidents due to socio-economy, tourism activities and natural causes.

The event is also expected to raise public awareness on environment protection and ensure a green, clean and favorable environment in public tourist attractions. 
 
Together with the launching ceremony, exhibition “Green, clean and favorable environment for tourism and culture” was held, offering over 100 photos and pictures of environment, culture, tourism and sea, islands. The exhibition also introduced standards for sustainable tourism label Green Lotus and organizations that won title Green Lotus.
 
As part of activities during the ceremony, 40 school children joined hands to paint a 1.2 x 4 meter painting themed “Green homeland, green planet”.
 
After the launching ceremony, further activities of young people will be organized at Thang Long Citadel, focusing on protecting culture and tourism environment at historical sites. - HNP
