President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum reopens

VGP - President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum reopened to the public on May 12 , a ccording to the Management Board of President Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum .

All current COVID-19 prevention and control measures that suit new normal conditions are put in place.

Earlier, on March 23rd, visits to the site in Ba Dinh square and the nearby monument dedicated to martyrs were suspended to fight COVID-19.

The Government Office sent a document to the management board on the implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures at the relic site.

President Ho Chi Minh passed away on September 2, 1969. In the following days, his body was embalmed and placed in a glass coffin inside the granite mausoleum.

The mausoleum has become an important landmark of the capital city and of the political and social history of Viet Nam./.
