Pottery mural in HN recognized as Guinness World Record

VGP – The ceramic mural along the Red River in Hà Nội today on October 5 was inaugurated and recognized as the world’s longest one by the Guinness World Records.

International Licensing Manager for Guinness World Records Beatriz Fernandez awarded representatives of Hà Nội’s government with the certificate recognizing the ceramic mural’s section “Việt Nam’s patterns in historic flow.”

The section runs 810 meters along Yên Phụ Street and covers 1,570 s.q.m in area.    

The ceramic mural is the work of intelligence, efforts and expenditure of hundreds of artists, enterprises and volunteers from Việt Nam and abroad, said Vice Chairman of the Municipal People’s Committee of Hà Nội Ngô Thị Thanh Hằng.

According to Ms. Hằng, the ceramic mural also illustrates the friendship and love of domestic people and international friends for Hà Nội.

Speaking at the ceremony, Madam Katherine Muller Marin, UNESCO Chief of Hà Nội Office, was convinced that the ceramic mural would serve to raise people’s awareness of preserving heritages./.
