Photo exhibition marks HN’s Liberation Day

VGP – Under the theme “Ha Noi craft villages and streets,” a photo exhibition entitled “Ha Noi in me” was opened yesterday at the Temple of Literature.

The event marked the 64th anniversary of Ha Noi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-October 10, 2018).

The photo exhibition was jointly held by the Kinh te & Do thi (Economics and Urban) newspaper, the Ha Noi Elderly Photographers Club and the Centre for Scientific and Cultural Activities.  

Eighty photos on display take visitors to Hang Trong street which is famous for folk paintings, Hang Than street with Banh Com (green rice flake cakes), Hang Duong with o mai (salted fruit) and traditional craft villages like Bat Trang pottery village, Van Phuc silk village and Kim Lan pottery village.

The event focuses on three major topics namely “craft streets,” “handicrafts,” and “Gastronomy.”

The exhibition not only introduces the quintessence of Ha Noi, but it also helps popularize traditional craft villages of the capital city. 

The event will run until October 13. After that, the photos will be showcased at the Ha Noi Museum./.
