Over 500,000 people get free screenings for cancer

The program has been implemented at 28 districts and nearly 300 communes since March 2017. Accordingly, over 500,000 patients have received the free screenings for bowel and gastrointestinal cancer  

The program aims to take care of local residents with health insurance aged 40 and above. 

Nearly 21,800 people (about 5.4%) were diagnosed with cancer after testing.  

The screening and early discovery  of cancer play an important role in medical treatment for people./.
