Over 385,000 people benefit from Covid-19 relief package
VGP – The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee has provided VND 471 billion (US$ 20.2 million) for 385,432 people who were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, meeting 99.9% of the preset goal.

The move aimed to realize Resolution 42/NQ-CP, dated April 9, 2020 and the PM’s Decision 15/2020/QD-TTg, dated April 24, 2020.
In the second half of 2020, the city aims to generate 57,966 jobs, meeting 37.1% of the preset target.
The local authorities commissioned the Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies to provide preferential credits for the poor and other subjects of policy; pay unemployment subsidies for 22,200 people. In April and May only, the city received and provided unemployment benefits for 11,576 people.
In addition, nearly 1,400 people were supported for vocational training. The city also exempted 588 labor licenses for foreign workers.
As of late June, health insurance coverage would meet 88.5% of the local population./.
