Over 1,150 enterprises use QR codes
VGP – Up to 1,156 enterprises, collectives, and fruit stores have been taking part in the pilot program using technology to trace origins of 2,000 agricultural products.

Earlier, the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee issued Plan 02/KH-UBND, dated January 3, 2018 on development of electronic information system for tracing origins of agricultural products.
The Department of Industry and Trade held two seminars with specific courses for prevention of counterfeit products and deployment of QR codes with the participation of about 200 fruit businesses.
The plan aims to boost the efficiency of state management of food safety, strengthen management capacities and control the quality and traceability of agricultural products in Ha Noi. It also targets to reduce administrative procedures, management costs and human resources, save time and raise the effectiveness of the fight against smuggling and trade frauds./.
