Over 1,000 people to run for peace around Sword Lake

VGP – Over 1,000 athletes will participate in the final round of the 44th Ha Noi Moi newspaper Run for Peace around Hoan Kiem Lake (Sword Lake) in Ha Noi at 7 a.m. on October 1.

The event marks the Ha Noi’s Liberation Day (October 10) and promotes the movement on physical exercise following the example of late President Ho Chi Minh.

The contest was launched on March, 2017, attracting 353,843 participants. The number outstripped the preset goal of 62,043 people.

Especially, at the final round, 200 athletes from 20 athletic teams from different cities and provinces will engage in advanced content.

In addition, 250 foreigners from 20 embassies and international organizations will compete with each other and sign in a peaceful flag./.
