VGP – Triều Khúc Village now belongs to Tân Triều Commune, Thanh Trì Districts, a suburban area of Hà Nội. In order to reach it, one must, starting from Hà Nội downtown, follow the Hà Nội-Hà Đông Highway up to Km No. 18 and then turn left and go along a communal road for 2 km.

VGP - Thầy Village (nowadays called as Thụy Khê Village) is located at the foot of Sài Sơn Mountain, and belongs to Quốc Oai District, Hà Nội. The mountain has a number of old pagodas the most well known of which is the Thầy Pagoda where is also worshipped Từ Đạo Hạnh, a monk of the Lý Dynasty who hailed from Láng Village (Hà Nội) and was endowed with supernatural powers.

VGP - Đồng Cổ Temple is located in number 73 block of Bưởi Ward in Tây Hồ District, Hà Nội. It was built on the bank of the Tô Lịch River during the Lý Dynasty (11th century) to worship the Đồng Cổ (Bronze Drum) God, a symbol of Vietnamese civilization. The ancient Vietnamese bronze drum is not only a type of musical instrument but also votive object god of the ancient Việt people.

VGP - Thanh Hà Communal House is located at No. 10 Ngõ Gạch, Đồng Xuân Ward in Hoàn Kiếm District of Hà Nội. It houses the stele titled Thanh Hà Ngọc Phả Bi Kí erected in 1430, considered to be the oldest extant stele in Hà Nội.

Ngọc Sơn Temple and Hoàn Kiếm Lake

VGP - Ngọc Sơn Temple is in the center of Hà Nội on a small island in the middle of Hoàn Kiếm Lake. The lake is also called Hồ Gươm (Sword Lake) and was previously named Lục Thuỷ (Green Water) because its water is always green. In the 15th century, the lake was renamed Hoàn Kiếm (Returned Sword) because of a legend relating to Lê Lợi’s resistance war against Ming invaders.
