Moscow, HN boost bilateral ties
VGP - Standing Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan in Ha Noi on December 24 received the delegation of the Moscow Committee of the Russian Federation Communist Party led by Parfenov Denis Andreevich, its second secretary and member of Russia’s Duma.

At the reception, Parfenov Denis Andreevich expressed his confidence that the new phase cooperation agreement signed between the Ha Noi Party Committee and the City of Moscow Party Committee will create a new step to enhance and expand cooperation between two capitals.
Moreover, the number of tourists from Russia to Viet Nam is much higher than those from Viet Nam to Russia, thus the two sides need to take measures to increase the number of Vietnamese tourists to Russia, Parfenov stressed.
In turn, Standing Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan said that in recent years, the comprehensive strategic partnership of VietNam – Russia is growing, especially the cooperative relations between Ha Noi and Moscow in 2018 have developed in all aspects.
He also stressed that Ha Noi is rapidly urbanizing, its economy is changing positively and the the city’s economy accounts for over 10% of the whole country. Ha Noi and Moscow need to develop the economy under the motto of "mutual benefits".
In the ten months through October 2018, Ha Noi's export turnover to the Russian market reached US$119 million but only accounted for 1% of Ha Noi's total export turnover. Ha Noi's imports from Russia made up 1.84% of its total import turnover. This rate is not matching the relationship between the two countries in general and the two capitals in particular.
