Malaysia, VN boost cooperation in numerous fields
VGP – Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung in Ha Noi on February 20 received newly-appointed Malaysian Ambassador to Viet Nam Dato 'Shariffah Norhana Syed Mustaffa.

At the reception, Ambassador Dato 'Shariffah Norhana Syed Mustaffa thanked Ha Noi for its support for Malaysian businesses in Viet Nam in general and in the city in particular over the recent years.
These enterprises are looking forward to continuing long-term business in Viet Nam, she added.
She expressed her delight at the good Viet Nam-Malaysia relationship, highlighted by the visit of Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad to Viet Nam in 2019.
The ambassador appreciated the success of Viet Nam in general and Ha Noi in particular in efforts to prevent and control Covid-19.
She pledged to contribute to promoting relations between the two countries, especially between Ha Noi and Malaysia’s localities.
In turn, Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung said Ha Noi will create favorable conditions for Malaysian businesses operating in the city.
The Ha Noi mayor affirmed that the municipal government will create favorable conditions for the Malaysian embassy’s activities in the city.
Chung proposed that the two sides would take cultural exchanges as a pillar for the cooperation and asserted that the Ha Noi’s authorities are ready to coordinate and support the Malaysian side in organizing cultural activities at the pedestrian area around Hoan Kiem lake.
Ha Noi will host the Meeting of Governors of ASEAN Capitals, with the participation of a delegation from Kuala Lumpur. Thus, the mayor hoped that the Malaysian ambassador and embassy would provide support to make the event a success.
He expressed his wish that the ambassador in her term will become a bridge connecting Ha Noi and Kuala Lumpur and other Malaysian localities in the fields of trade and tourism, and others./.
