Local authorities strive for unaccomplished goals

Biggest FDI destination

According to a report on socio-economic performance of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee which was announced on June 11, in the January-June period, the macro-economy was stable. Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) expanded 7.21%. Total retail sales of goods and services were estimated at 10.7%. 

The tourism sector posted growth. The number of tourists touched 14.4 million, up 9.5% against the same period last year. 

The business environment and FDI attraction were improved. The city absorbed US$ 5.3 billion of FDI, becoming the most attract destination. About 17 non-state budget projects were approved. Meanwhile, 34 others got additional capital. Over 13,690 enterprises got business licenses worth VND 143.7 trillion, up 10% in number and 1% in value. 

Big balances were ensured. Total state budget was estimated at VND 132 trillion, accounting for 50.2% of forecast. Local budget spending was estimated at VND 33.8 trillion, making up 33.5% of forecast. 

Urban management and development progressed. Housing development planning schemes were on schedule. Urban infrastructure was maintained.  

New rural building attained positive outcomes. The proportion of online public service at 3, 4 levels accounted for 62%. 

Striving for unaccomplished goals

In the rest of 2019, the city will implement 76 tasks and solutions which are stipulated in Action Program 12/CTr-UBND of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee on socio-economic tasks and solutions, state budget in 2019. 

Especially, the city will take synchronous measures to fulfill norms which are low and difficult; eliminate the African swine fever virus disease; ensure food supply at year end; accelerate site clearance, investment procedures. 

In addition, the city will implement Directive 09/CT-UBND on measures to raise indicators on operational efficiency of the Ha Noi administration./.
