Local authorities implement Gov’t Resolution 01

VGP – The authorities of Ha Noi have submitted a report on the implementation of Resolution 01/NQ-CP, dated January 1, 2018 with 188 key tasks.

Right after the Government issued Resolution 01/NQ-CP (Resolution 01), dated January 1, 2018, on the major tasks and solutions guiding the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and State budget estimates for 2018; the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee introduced Action Plan 34/Ctr-UBND on January 28, 2018 to implement Resolution 01. 

The local authorities also released Directive 23/CT-UBND, dated December 30, 2017 on preparation of the Lunar New Year Festival 2018 in a joyful, warm, safe, and saving manner. 

Key socio-economic indicators 

Due to prolong Tet holidays, almost all economic indicators in February dropped in comparison with January. However, in the first two months, the figures witnessed a year-on-year increase. 

In the January-February period, industrial production index (IIP) saw a year-on-year surge of 9.9%. 

Total circulation of goods and services valued VND 432.2 trillion, representing a year-on-year surge of 17.7%. 

In the reviewed period, export turnover exceeded US$ 2.99 billion, up 25.1% against the same period last year. Import turnover was estimated at US$ 2.4 billion, down 15.4% against the same period last year. 

In the first two months, the number of international guests was projected at 759,000, up 4.7%. Tourism revenue was estimated at over VND 10.8 trillion. 

Eight non-State budget projects worth VND 4,537 billion were passed. The amount of FDI projects valued US$ 109.7 million. The local authorities granted 3,303 business licenses with a total registered capital of over VND 30 trillion, up 15% in number and 37% in value.

State budget collection accounted for 15.7% of forecast. 

Striving for socio-economic development goals in Q1

To successfully  accomplish the goals on socio-economic development and State budget estimate in 2018, in Q1, the local authorities will implement Action Program 34/CTr-UBND, dated January 28, 2018 on tasks and measures on socio-economic development and State budget estimate in 2018. 

Difficulties and production and business obstacles will be timely resolved. 

Specific plans will be built to fulfill the theme for 2018 on Raising effectiveness and operation of the political system.

The local authorities will prepare for the 10-year administrative boundary expansion of the Capital and the investment promotion conference in 2018./.
