Local authorities conduct quick tests for travellers from Da Nang
VGP – Grassroots medical centers have investigated and made the list of travellers hailing from Da Nang since July 1 and conducted quick tests for them in order to early detect cases carrying Covid-19 virus.

The move aimed to realize the instruction of Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee and protect local health.
Up to 21,000 people travelled to Da Nang and the central region, including 87 showing signs of fever, cough, and shortness of breath. The suspected cases were quarantined at places of residence and collected samples.
Especially, medical centers focused on travellers from Da Nang, Quang Nam, and Thua Thien-Hue, including those from Lien Chieu and Ngu Hanh Son districts (Da Nang); the Da Nang C Hospital, the Da Nang Orthopaedic, and the Da Nang General Hospital.
Earlier, passengers who visited the areas where COVID-19 patients have been in Da Nang returning to Ha Noi were asked to voluntarily comply with health registration; monitor their health; undergo SARS-CoV-2 tests; and self-quarantine.
For example, the medical center of Hai Ba Trung district conducted COVID-19 quick tests for passengers from Da Nang.
As of mid-July 31, Ha Noi confirmed two new cases of COVID-19 patients who were visitors to Da Nang.
Chairman Nguyen Duc Chung ordered the testing by August 1 of 21,000 people who had recently been in Da Nang. The city will monitor those returning from Quang Nam Province, which has three cases, but has ordered no testing of them.
He called on people to comply with anti-pandemic measures and wear face masks in public places, and organizations and businesses to disinfect their workplaces and do temperature checks of employees and malls and other business establishments to limit crowds.
City authorities have instructed pharmacies to inform them about people buying medicines for cold, cough and fever./.
