Japanese cherry blossom festival to take place next week

VGP – The third Japanese cherry blossom festival will showcase 50 cherry blossom trees, 10,000 blossom branches, and some Vietnamese flowers from March 23-26 at Ly Thai To Park in Ha Noi.

The Organizing Board reported the news on March 19 at a press briefing on the cultural exchange festival to mark the 45th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and Japan. 

Fresh cherry blossoms have been brought from Japan to Viet Nam for the event at Ly Thai To Park. 

In addition, 200 cherry blossom trees will be planted at Hoa Binh Park on March 23. 

The festival will also feature traditional Japanese activities such as the Japanese tea ceremony, performances of Japanese toy Kendama, Japanese chess Shogi, along with Vietnamese folk music programs and exchanges of health and education.

The Organizing Board will hold a traditional art performance at Dinh Tien Hoang Street with 21 booths which will display both Vietnamese and Japanese gastronomy at Ha Noi Children’s Palace.

Especially, a seminar on investment promotion and tourism will be held on March 23 with a view to introducing cooperative programs and investment chances and encouraging investment in high-tech farming, healthcare, education, and environmental treatment./.
