IPI picks up 4% in August

Processing and manufacturing industry saw a month-on-month growth of 3.9% and a year-on-year increase of 9%; electricity and fuel distribution increased by 2.2% and 8.2%, respectively. Water supply and sewage treatment grew 2.2% and 10.7%. Mining industry experienced a month-on-month increase of 1.5% but a year-on-year decline of 27.9%. 

In the first eight months, IPI increased 7.7% against the same period last year of which mining industry decreased by 28.6%; processing and manufacturing industry declined by 7.8%; electricity and fuel distribution increased by 8.1%; water supply and sewage treatment grew 7.8%./.
