Int’l painting contest on HN launched

VGP – An international painting contest “I love Ha Noi – The city for peace” was launched on June 11 at Bach Thao Park or Ha Noi Botanical Garden in response to International Children Day (June 1).

The event was co-organized by the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Ha Noi Peace Committee, and the Kim Dong Cultural Center.
The contest drew the attendance of 200 local and international children. It offered a good opportunity for Vietnamese and foreign children to beef up friendship and solidarity.
Via the painting contest, children expressed their aspirations to live in a world of peace, and demonstrate their love for the country and Ha Noi.
The Organizing Board presented special awards for Arleen Rodriguez Barrios (4 years old) from Cuba; Hwang Jung Myung from the Republic of Korea, and Pham Thi Bich Ngoc (from Le Loi secondary school./.
