HN’s pottery mural recognized as Guinness World Record

VGP – The pottery wall running along the Red River dyke in Hà Nội was officially recognized as the longest pottery mural in the world, said journalist and painter Nguyễn Thu Thủy who initiated the project.

With the total length of 3,950m, the mural has been under construction since 2008 with 21 sections depicting various themes.

With beautiful and colorful pieces of ceramics, the work reflects historical values of Việt Nam, the country’s charms, and cream of its pottery villages such as Bát Tràng, Phù Lãng, Chu Đậu, Bình Dương, Vĩnh Long, and Bàu Trúc. In addition, the work has drawn the biggest contribution of foreign artists.

It is one of the projects to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thăng Long-Hà Nội. The pottery mural will be completed on September 25./.
