In the period, the service sector posted the highest growth with 8.9%, followed by the industry and construction sector, 8%. Meanwhile, the agriculture, forestry and aquaculture sector experienced a drop of 0.6%.
The city collected VND 92,275 billion for the State budget, equal to 63.1% of the set plan.
It attracted 5.75 million of visitors in the reviewed time, up 7.6% compared to the same period in 2011. The figure included 1.14 million foreign tourists, up 28% and 4.61 million local visitors, up 3.5%.
After falling in two consecutive months, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in August increased 0.57%, driving the figure in the first nine month to 9.24% against the same period in 2011.
Chairman of Ha Noi’s People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao asked relevant agencies to focus on realizing three main goals in the remaining three months of 2012, including maintaining the GDP growth rate, keeping the CPI below the two-digit level and guaranteeing social welfare.
