HN welcomes first int’l guest in 2018
VGP - The capital city of Ha Noi welcomed Mr. Lebreton Didier from France as the first foreign guest in 2018 as he arrived at 6.00 a.m. on January 1, 2018.

The Ha Noi Department of Tourism worked with Viet Nam Airlines, and Noi Bai International Airport jointly hosted the welcome event.
Mr. Lebreton Didier and 13 other guests from France were warmly welcomed.
Addressing the event, Director of the Ha Noi Tourism Department Tran Duc Hai said that Ha Noi boasts for thousand years of civilization, a center of politics, national administration, abundant tourism resources,and high-quality tourism products.
The city was selected as one of the most attractive tourism destinations in the region and the world. The number of international tourists increased constantly. Last year, Ha Noi greeted 5 million international guests.
This was the third time Mr. Leberton Didier has visited Viet Nam. Besides Ha Noi, the Frecnh guest would visit other provinces and cities.
Mr. Leberton Didier said that it was an honor and a luck for him to become the first international guest to Ha Noi. According to him, Ha Noi left unforgettable impression on him as people were friendly, happy, and warm thanks to cultural and historical attraction, ancient architecture, unique landscapes, and marvelous gastronomy.
This year, the tourism sector targets to welcome 5.5 million foreign guests, up 11% against 2017./.
