HN to set off fireworks on liberation anniversary

VGP - The People’s Committee of Ha Noi has approved 15-minute firework shows at 30 venues on October 10 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the capital’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954-2014).

High range firework shows, starting from 9pm, will be conducted at five places, including Hoan Kiem lake, Thong Nhat park in Hai Ba Trung district, West lake in Tay Ho district, Van Quan lake in Ha Dong district, and My Dinh national stadium in Tu Liem district.

Twenty-five low-range firework displays will take place in the districts of Dong Da, Thanh Xuan, Bac Tu Liem, Ba Dinh, Cau Giay, Thanh Tri, Hoang Mai, Gia Lam, Long Bien, Soc Son, Dong Anh, Me Linh, Son Tay, Ba Vi, Phuc Tho, Dan Phuong, Hoai Duc, Thach That, Quoc Oai, Chuong My, Thanh Oai, Thuong Tin, Phu Xuyen, Ung Hoa and My Duc.

The Ha Noi Capital Command is in charge of performing the shows, in co-ordination with the Ha Noi Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Public Security, and People’s Committees of relevant districts and towns.
