VGP - The Hà Nội Department of Industry and Trade plans to shake hands with travel agencies to launch four tours around craft villages in the locality this month.

The Department is surveying one-day tours as part of its effort to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thăng Long–Hà Nội.
These tours target to showcase historical and cultural values of traditional craft villages while highlighting talented skills of local craftsmen. They are expected to push up handicraft production and seek outlets for handmade products.
As reported earlier, the Department will also host the Hà Nội Craft and Fine Art Products Week 2010 on August 4-9 to celebrate Hà Nội’s anniversary and the national tourism year.

1. Chuôn Ngọ (mother-of-pearl inlaying) - Thắng Lợi (embroidery) - Hạ Thái (lacquer)
2. Phú Vinh (Bamboo knitting) – Vạn Phúc (silk weaving) - Tây Phương Pagoda
3. Vạn Phúc (silk weaving) – Sơn Đồng (sculpture)
