HN to host craft week in August
VGP – Under the theme “Thousand-year Quintessence,” the Hà Nội Craft and Fine Art Products Week 2010 will take place on August 4-9 to highlight traditional culture of local craft villages.

The week
includes seven major programs, namely a handicraft exhibition, a seminar on Hà
Nội traditional craft villages themed “Potential for development and tourism,”
a contest on designing gifts for the 1000th anniversary of Thăng
Long-Hà Nội, craft villages tours, a products show, and performances of craftsmen
and artisans, and a business partnerships establishing program.
Typically,
the handicraft exhibition will display special works of craftsmen and
corporations in Hà Nội. The seminar will center on traditional values and criteria
for developing handicraft villages and tourism.
