HN to embellish 79 ancient streets

VGP – The People’s Committee of H oan Kiem District is perfecting a project to embellish 79 ancient streets, said Vice Chairman of the Hoan Kiem District People’s Committee.

Accordingly, 79 routes and 83 urban blocs in ancient streets will be re-designed with a view to creating more public spaces for tourism and cultural activities; supplying conveniences, utilities, and green trees.
The ancient street zone has a total area of 105 hectares including ten wards (Dong Xuan, Hang Buom, Hang Dao, Hang Gai, Cua Dong, Hang Ma, Hang Bac, Hang Bo, Hang Bong, and Ly Thai To) at Hoan Kiem District.
Typical constructions in the ancient streets will follow five types namely Vietnamese tradition, Chinese architecture, Mediterranean architecture, Anpo, and Art-Deco.
Architecture of the ancient streets will be preserved or upgraded./.
