HN strengthens COVID-19 prevention

VGP – Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Ngo Van Quy asked for synchronous measures to be taken to prevent possible COVID-19 community outbreak.

The local leader made the request on Wednesday in Ha Noi at a meeting of the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control

Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Health Hoang Duc Hanh reported that Ha Noi confirmed four imported cases of coronavirus who were quarantined upon arrival. 

So far, the city has gone 99 days with zero community infection. City dwellers seem to take the wearing of face masks at public places including markets, apartments, stations, hospitals, commercial centers, as well as supermarkets, light.

The city is currently coping with future risks of COVID-19 outbreaks as the number of people on entry will increase. In addition, 82% of COVID-19 patients have shown no symptoms. 

So far, Ha Noi had designated 17 hotels for pay-to-stay quarantine. Director of the Health Department Nguyen Khac Hien said there are three-star hotels to meet preventive disease requirements. 

The local authorities have deployed five teams to inspect disease prevention at the grass-roots level./.
