Finland and Ha Noi enjoy abundant opportunities to cooperate especially in smart city building.

In reply, Chairman Chung revealed that Ha Noi is one of the three cities in Viet Nam which was proposed by the Government to join ASEAN smart city network. With a nearly 10 million population and being one of the 17 largest cities in the world, Ha Noi has sped up IT application in smart city building.  To realize the goal, Ha Noi set up a steering committee to digitalize data; build smart city; and conduct climate change prevention measures.

In addition, the Capital also digitalizes database of all fields including population, land, administrative procedures, medical check-up, and academic records of pupils.

The city also builds a monitoring system to supervise air and water pollution quality and build a development strategy for IT enterprises in the city.
