HN responds to ‘Global Greening” campaign

VGP - The area around But (brush) Tower at Hoan Kiem Lake will be lit up green at 8 pm on March 16 in response to Ireland’s “Global Greening” campaign, which aims to raise public awareness of environmental protection.

Since 2010, the Ireland’s Global Greening initiative was kicked off in 2010 and has become a global campaign. On the day, hundreds of iconic landmarks, such as the Empire State building in New York, the US and the Great Wall of China, turn green to encourage environmental protection.
In 2017, Ha Noi became the first country in the Southeast Asian nation participating in the campaign.
At 1 pm the same day, organizers of the campaign in Hanoi will hold the“Ireland Day” to observe the country’s national holiday, St Patrick’s Day (March 17).
The event will feature cultural activities and art performances of Ireland and its culture to the Vietnamese public./.
