Director of the municipal Department of Health Nguyen Khac Hien reported that 88,289 local people visited Da Nang, Viet Nam’s new COVID-19 epicenter from July 8. 508 people who were undergone PCR tests received negative outcomes. Meanwhile, 70,689 others were tested for SARS-CoV-2 in which two cases received positive outcomes. However, all positive cases in quick test modal turned out negative in PCR technique.

Mr. Hien reported that the local authorities distributed all quick tests for testing units. However, the number of local travellers from Da Nang was much higher than forecast. Hence, untested travellers are suggested to self-monitor their health. If displaying abnormal respiratory signs such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath, they should immediately seek testing at medical clinics.

Regarding the two latest community infection cases in Ha Noi including Patient 447 and Patient 459, 130 people who have close contact with them had their samples collected which showed negative results. They are being kept at quarantine camps./.
