So far, the disease has been put under control in Viet Nam and localities have fundamentally resumed activities in ‘new normalcy status.’

As of September 15, Ha Noi has recorded zero new community cases over the past 29 days (from August 17).

However, the number of new infections has been on the rise in the world. For example, on September 13, 308,000 new cases were confirmed, setting a new record in the number of infections.

The World Health Organization warned that although the disease has been put in control in some countries (including Viet Nam), there is a risk of disease spreading especially when social distancing rules are loosened.

The latest case in Ha Noi was "Patient 1060." He arrived from Russia on September 8 and was quarantined on entry. Results of tests done at the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi showed that he was positive. He is being treated at the same hospital.

Hence, since July 25, 39 cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Ha Noi with no fatality including 11 community cases and 28 imported ones who were quarantined upon arrival./.
