HN pursues social distancing till April 22

VGP - Ha Noi will continue to follow social distancing rules until late April 22 in accordance with the PM’s decision, the city’s mayor said.

Thanks to the active participation of the political system and local residents, Ha Noi has properly controlled the outbreak, said Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung.  

However, the capital was categorized as one of the high-risk localities with two large-scale complicated clusters, including Bach Mai hospital and Ha Loi village. 

The Chairman underlined the necessity to encourage local residents to seriously obey the PM’s Directive 16 

He called on people who display coronavirus symptoms such as fever and cough to immediately inform medical facilities for testing. 

The mayor said that the public security and grass-root medical facilities work closely to maintain 30 checkpoints at the city’s gateways to disinfect transport vehicles; check commuters’ body temperature; and punish those not wearing face masks.

This week will decide whether COVID-19 will break out on a large scale in Ha Noi or not,” the Chairman said, requesting that the forces must stay on guard round the clock to receive information from people, collect samples for testing and take response measures if there are new patients. 

Director of the municipal Department of Health Nguyen Khac Hien reported that as of 4:00 PM of April 15, the city recorded 114 coronavirus infection cases, 66.6% of which did not show symptoms and were discovered via testing. 

The Ha Loi village cluster was regarded as developing complicatedly with 13 confirmed cases and having risks of community spread./.
