HN provides free-of-charge COVID-19 tests for those in centralized isolation

VGP – The Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee has recently taken VND 3.5 billion (US$ 151,000) from the local budget to use for COVID-19 screening tests for people at quarantine areas.

The money will be used to purchase materials for taking samples and hire qualified establishments recognized by the Health Ministry to conduct screening tests.
The Ha Noi Department of Health was assigned to ask the Ha Noi Center for Disease Control to purchase samples and work with grass-roots People’s Committees and medical establishments to implement screening tests.
As of March 12, Ha Noi confirmed five COVID-19 positive patients who are currently under treatment at the National Hospital for Tropical Disease No. 2.
It had also tested 2,277 samples collected from people returning from coronavirus-hit areas and being kept at quarantine centers, and all were negative./
