HN plans tourism as spearhead economy
VGP – The People’s Committee of Ha Noi has recently issued Official document 1310/UBND-KGVX to implement Decision 1685/QĐ-TTg , dated December 5, 2018 of the Government approving the Scheme restructuring the tourism ind ustry into a spearhead economic sector to meet requirements for development.

Accordingly, departments, sectors, and the local People’s Committees will implement targets, tasks, and assignments as stipulated in Decision 1685/QD-TTg and fulfill Plan 2017/KH-UBND, dated November 11, 2016 on implementation of Resolution 06-NQ/TW, dated June 26, 2016 on developing tourism in Ha Noi in the 2016-2020 period.
The Ha Noi Department of Tourism will work with district-level People’s Committees to implement Decision 1685 to raise quality and create attractive tourism destinations in the 2018-2020 period; renovate methods of tourism promotion and program in the 2019-2023 period between Ha Noi and CNN; and build Ha Noi as a destination of safety, friendly, as well as good quality.
The Ha Noi Department of Planning and Investment will cooperate with the Department of Tourism, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Planning and Architect, and the Institutive of Ha Noi Planning and Constructionto review the construction list of hotels and tourism accommodations.
The Department of Planning and Investment is responsible for crafting a portfolio of luxury hotel investment projects by 2020 (focusing on Nam Tu Liem, Tay Ho, Ba Dinh, Hoan Kiem, Dong Anh, and Ba Vi districts).
The Department of Information and Communications will work with the Department of Tourism to compose the project on smart tourism system; organize free Wi-Fi stations especially in Bat Trang ceramic village, Van Phuc weaving village./.
