HN: Parking fines issued
VGP – The Ha Noi City Police Department has deployed 15 traffic police teams to issue parking fines in the city.

The local police issued parking fines to owners who parked car in non-parking areas in an effort to deal with the rampant traffic safety violations and enforce the traffic law in the city.
Earlier, the Capital has started installing speed cameras on streets to detect traffic offenses and send speeding tickets to offenders since 2015. The measure has contributed to improving drivers’ law compliance.
The Department reported that since November, 2019, nearly 16,000 drivers have been punished for illegal parking. However, the violation showed no signs of decline especially at urban districts.
With the rampant traffic law violation in Ha Noi, this solution also helps to curb bribe, ensuring fairness and transparency of the law enforcement. Therefore, people’s law abiding sense will be significantly improved.
For a long time, illegal parking, considered to be one of the main reasons behind serious traffic congestion in Ha Noi, seems to be an intractable problem, with increasing numbers of cars, poor infrastructure and lack of public awareness./.
