HN opens more organic vegetable-selling points

VGP - The Ha Noi Department of Industry and Trade is increasing the number of organic vegetable-selling points in the capital city by 40 to 140.

Ha Noi has some 29,000 ha of vegetables, including 3,800 ha of organic vegetables in 56 farms. They produce an annual output of 280,000 tons of organic vegetables, meeting only one-fifth of the demand.

Hanoians annually consume 700,000-800,000 tons of vegetables, with 60% grown in the city, and the rest in neighboring localities and from imports.
