HN- Moscow centre opens for business

VGP- The Ha Noi-Moscow cultural, trading and residential centre in Moscow was inaugurated on November 20.

The event was attended by Politburo member and Secretary of the Ha Noi municipal Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi and Vice Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Vu Hong Khanh, who were on a visit to Moscow. Also present were Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia Pham Xuan Son and representatives from the Moscow city administration.

The facility, a result of co-operation between Ha Noi and Moscow, aims to provide overseas Vietnamese people in Russia with living accommodations and a permanent trading centre, and to facilitate Vietnam’s exports to the country and other CIS members.

The centre was built on 4.9ha by INCENTRA JSC, a subsidiary of Eurowindow Holdings, at a cost of nearly US$240 million. It houses a modern shopping complex and a 21-storey apartment and hotel building.

A replica of the One-Pillar Pagoda, one of Ha Noi’s signature sites, was also inaugurated at the centre on the same day.
