Generally, the city stops implementing the PM’s Directive 16/CT-TTg on social distancing but still observes the PM’s Directive 15 issued on March 27.

Directive 15 requests localities across the country to stop social events, gatherings of over 20 people in a place, and gatherings of ten people or more outside workplaces, schools, and hospital. In addition, a minimum distance of 2 meters between people in public places is put on place.

Particularly, Thuong Tin and Me Linh districts where are at high risks of Covid-19 infections are requested to seriously follow social distancing rules in accordance with Directive 16 until April 30.

Earlier, PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc agreed to remove Ha Noi from high-risk group to risky group except for the two districts.

The mayor decided to partly loosen economic restrictions but prohibit some services including karaoke bars, bars, massage parlors, electronic games, crowded avenues, tea and lemon tea shops. The city will not organize activities with crowded places, cultural festivals, sport events, and extend suspension of foreign customer services until further notice.

Restaurants are allowed to resume operation but must ensure safe distance and install physical barriers between customers to allay contagion fears.

Commercial centers and supermarkets are requested to observe distance maintenance, temperature measuring, and sanitation.

Citizens are requested to comply with mandatory facemask wearing regulations at public places. They are recommended to only go out if really necessary.

Taxi and grab services are allowed to operate from April 23-30 at 20-30% of capacity.

Ha Noi reported 112 positive cases of which 81 patients have been discharged from hospital. The city witnessed no new cases from April 16-22./
