HN leads agricultural restructuring
VGP – Ha Noi was regarded as one of the leading localities in agricultural restructuring and succeeded in land consolidation in favor of agricultural development towards high added value.

The Ha Noi Department of Agriculture and Rural Development reported that the city implemented the Project on agricultural restructuring in five years (2013-2017). In spite of various difficulties, the agricultural sector still grew remarkably. Last year, total agro-forestry-fishery production valued VND 35.1 trillion, up 13.1% against 2013. The sector annually increased 2.23%.
The city built 101 safe vegetable cultivation regions with over 20 hectare scale and 50 flower production regions.
The city also constructed 101 large-scale breeding regions.
In Ha Noi, out of 123 high-tech modals, agricultural production accounted for about 18%; breeding 34%, and aquaculture 13%.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Tran Thanh Nam assessed that Ha Noi was one of the leading localities in agricultural restructuring.
The Deputy Minister tasked the city to uphold great knowledge to become a key hub of the country in transferring technology relating to plants and animals.
The city was asked to promote agricultural services which connect agriculture in suburbs and the central city; develop organic cultivation; and build green belts for safe agricultural products./.
