HN leader receives Thai Ambassador to VN

VGP - Chairman of the Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung in Ha Noi on January 21 received Thai Ambassador to Viet Nam Tanee Sangrat.

At the reception, Ambassador Tanee Sangrat informed the host about a plan to hold several activities in Ha Noi in 2019 and wished for further support from local authorities in the regard, notably the Thai cultural festival in Ly Thai To garden and the Thai film festival at Ha Noi Opera House. 

The festival will add three contents towards developing bilateral economic relations, including real estate investment, medical tourism and vocational training, said the ambassador.

As Ha Noi and Bangkok lie in important locations in the region, the diplomat wished that both sides will form closer ties in coming time.

In turn, Chairman of the Ha Noi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung expressed his expectation that Ambassador Tanee will act as a bridge between Viet Nam and Thailand as well as the two countries’ capitals for enhanced cooperative relations. 

He expressed his belief that the twinning relationship will open up new cooperation opportunities in diverse areas, especially in culture, urban development, tourism and services. 

Mr Chung committed support to cultural exchanges, investment promotion and fairs introducing Thai goods in the capital city, and wished that the ambassador would effectively uphold his role as a bridge connecting the two countries, capital cities, and Ha Noi with Thai localities.
