HN launches city decoration and lighting contest for big events

Under the theme, “Ha Noi - Creative City" and "Ha Noi congratulates the Party and celebrates a new Spring," the contest targets to generate a joyful environment for the city during big events. 

Entries which are of high aesthetic quality, catch up with the local landscape environment, lighting system, and urban architecture are promising. In addition, designs should prioritize new technologies, appropriate materials, elegant colors and mustensure safety conditions during the process of construction and use. 

Winning designs will be applied for decoration at specific avenues and venues, including the August Revolution Square, the Labor Square, Ly Thai To Statue Garden, Lenin Statue Garden, big traffic islands before the State Bank of Viet Nam, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Conference Center. In addition, downtown streets will be decorated such as Trang Tien, Trang Thi, Ba Trieu, Hai Ba Trung, Ly Thuong Kiet and Tran Hung Dao, among others.

Entries must be drawn on the A4-sized papers, and then sent to Ha Noi Department of Culture and Sports at No. 47 Hang Dau street, Hoan Kiem District, Ha Noi, from August 24 to 31, 2021.

Contestants, including Vietnamese citizens and overseas Vietnamese, are invited to attend the competition. They will have a chance to win one Special Prize, one First prize, two Second prizes, three Third prizes and five Consolation prizes./.
