HN eyes US$ 6.5 billion of FDI in 2018

VGP – The capital city of Ha Noi is likely to attract about US$ 6.5 billion of FDI in 2018, the local Department of Planning and Investment forecast.

So far, the city houses over 4,300 FDI projects worth US$ 33.38 billion. In the 2016-2018 period, the city lured nearly US$ 13.25 billion of FDI, accounting for 48.6% of total FDI inflow in the 1986-2015 period and 2.12 times of the 2011-2015 period.
As of October 31, the amount of ODA disbursement valued nearly VND 2,200 billion. The city contributed VND 420 billion of corresponding capital.
The city was forecast to disburse VND 3,600 billion of ODA and provide VND 639 billion of corresponding capital by the year end./.
