Ha Noi’s development investment capital was estimated to increase by 12.9%. In particular, foreign investment attraction reached US$8.05 billion, the highest after 30 years of opening door and integration, and leading the country for the second consecutive year.

Creating premise to tap into the city’s development resources

2020 is also the last year to implement the goals, targets and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 16th Ha Noi Party Congress and the city’s five-year socio-economic development plan (2016-2020). The municipal People’s Council has also approved 22 socio-economic development targets for 2020, with many set at high levels, including a GRDP growth rate of over 7.5%, an annual income per capita of VND136 million or more, and a growth rate of over 10.5% in the local development investment capital. At the same time, the city will implement a pilot project on organizing the urban government model approved by the National Assembly, in addition to organizing the Party congress at all levels, towards the 13th National Party Congress.
