HN creates favorable ways for Danish investors

VGP – Chairman of the Ha Noi municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung hosted a reception for new Danish Ambassador to Viet Nam Kim Hojlund Christensen on June 11 in Ha Noi.

Ambassador Kim Hojlund Christensen affirmed that Viet Nam and Denmark have enjoyed fine relations. They will mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties by 2021. The Ambassador hoped that the two countries would celebrate the special event through high-ranking visits, business forums, and cultural exchanges. 

Chairman Chung congratulated Mr. Hojlund Christensen for his new mission in Viet Nam and voiced his backing for the celebration of the 50th anniversary. He also promised to support these events. 

The host leader took the occasion to brief the new Ambassador about the local socio-economic development indicators. Especially, Ha Noi absorbed US$ 14.05 billion of FDI in the 2016-2018 period. In Q1, 2019, the total amount of FDI attraction valued US$ 4.47 billion. 

In the 2016-2020 period, the city will pursue three breakthroughs including administrative reform, infrastructure development, and manpower training. By 2025, the city will build smart city. 

Chairman Chung expressed his hope that the two sides would seek cooperative opportunities in various fields including tourism, green growth, smart city building, and high-quality manpower training. 

Ha Noi said the host leader attaches importance to business opportunities with European enterprises especially those from Denmark in such areas as smart city building, power management, and healthcare. 

The host leader also pledged to create favorable opportunities for Denmark investors.

He also hoped that the new Ambassador would serve as a bridge for the two peoples to exchange economic and commercial delegations and boost the bilateral ties./.
