HN: COVID-19 field hospital erected in four hours
VGP – Ha Noi-based Bach Mai General Hospital and the Ha Noi Capital City Special High Command of the People's Army of Viet Nam jointly put up a field hospital for screening and treating COVID-19 patients in only four hours.

The field hospital is located inside the Bac Mai General Hospital area with eight tents and 64 beds.
This is a precautionary step as the Lunar New Year festival is coming and the pandemic remains unpredictable, said Duong Duc Hung, deputy director of Bach Mai General Hospital.
People with coronavirus symptoms like cough, fever and breathing difficulty would be screened and quarantined, preventing other areas in the hospital from possible contamination, he said.
If there is a surge in the case load and the National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, one of the frontline hospitals in the Covid-19 fight, cannot cope, the field hospital would lend a hand.
This is the second time Bach Mai General Hospital prepares a field hospital. Earlier, a similar field hospital was installed last March when the hospital was put on lockdown after becoming a COVID-19 hotspot.
The hospital also supported the northern Dien Bien and Hai Duong provinces in installing other field hospitals with hundreds of beds./.
