HN: Construction of first metro route to start this month
VGP – The first metro route linking Nhổn and the Hà Nội Railway Station will be under construction since September 22, said the Municipal People’s Committee of Hà Nội.

authorities are finalizing site clearance and rearranging transport flows for
the groundbreaking ceremony scheduled on September 22.
Under the plan to develop the transport network in Hà Nội to 2020,
there will be five metro routes connecting
Hà Nội with surrounding provinces including Bắc Ninh, Vĩnh Phúc, Hưng Yên, and Thái Nguyên.
The Nhổn-Hà Nội
Railway Station section has a length of over 12
km and is part of the route 3 (Nhổn-Hà Nội Railway Station-Hoàng Mai) linking the
western part, the downtown and the southern part of the capital city.
