Deputy Director of the Ha Noi Tourism Department Tran Trung Hieu said that the race represented a key event of the national tourism sector in 2020 and will take place as schedule.

He was convinced that the event would help boost tourism image of Ha Noi in particular and Viet Nam in general to the world.

Earlier, the Chinese Grand Prix, scheduled for April 19, was postponed due to the deadly virus, causing doubts over the inaugural Viet Nam race, which will be held in Ha Noi, Viet Nam’s capital city.

The event’s organizing board said preparations were on schedule and confirmed the race would take place as planned.

CEO of F1 Ross Brawn also said that the Viet Nam Grand Prix would happen on schedule.

The race would take place from April 3-5, 2020 and expect to attract 350,000 visitors./.
