Historical relics temporarily closed for COVID-19 sanitization

VGP – A large number of historical and cultural relics in Ha Noi have been temporarily closed for san itization over rising concerns of COVID-19 spreading.

Specifically, on March 9, Hoa Lo Prison temporally suspended receiving visitors as two British tourists who had visited the prison are being in quarantine for suspected COVID-19 infection. 

After extracting images from camera, the relic management board found out that three staff members  (one ticket seller and two ticket inspectors) had no contact with the two tourists. However, the management board asked the three staff to implement home quarantine. The relic was closed for sanitization. 

On March 10, Mr. Le Xuan Kieu, Director of the Temple of Literature’s Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities reported that the relic was also temporarily closed for sanitization. 

Earlier, other historical and cultural relics in Ha Noi have been temporarily closed for sanitization such as Relic at No. 48 Ngang Street, 5D Ham Long, No. 90 Tho Nhuom Street, 

The Ministry of Health reported that Viet Nam confirmed 32 positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 of which 16 had been discharged from hospital. 15 new cases are being in quarantine and treated at hospitals./.
