Hanoi seeks Japan experience in dealing with environmental issues

At the reception, Deputy Minister Yagi Tetsuya appreciated the cooperative relationship between Ha Noi and Japan’s localities. 

He affirmed that Japan is willing to share experiences to help Ha Noi handle social and environmental issues during its development process.

Yagi Tetsuya also hoped that the capital city in particular and Viet Nam in general would coordinate with Japan in implementing campaigns of plastic waste reduction.

In turn, Hung emphasized that over the past years, Japan has supported Hanoi in numerous fields, especially in transport infrastructure and environment.

The works built with Japanese financing in Ha Noi are functioning well, Hung said, expressing his hope that in the coming time, Japan’s Ministry of Environment will continue to share experiences and help Ha Noi cope with environmental issues, especially sludge treatment.
