Ha Noi’s living cost up 0.24% in April

VGP - The municipal Statistics Office’s report showed that Ha Noi’s consumer price index (CPI) in April rose 0.24% from the previous month.

The figure represents a year-on-year increase of 4.35%, they said.

In particular, compared to March, the price of food and catering services was down 0.82%, while that of beverages and cigarette decreased 0.23%.

A respective drop of 0.2% and 0.29% was seen in the prices of culture-entertainment-tourism and post-telecommunication services.

Particularly, a sharp rise of 4% was recorded in the price of transportation due to the two recent adjustments of petrol prices.

Meanwhile, upturn was seen in the prices of garments, headgear, footwear at 0.05%; housing, construction materials, power and water supply at 0.63%; equipment and household appliances at 0.23%; and medicine and health care services at 0.02%.

The municipal Statistics Office’s report showed, gold price was down 0.68%, while the price of US$ fell 0.01% over the previous month./.
