Ha Noi treasures cooperation with U.S.’s localities


VGP - Ha Noi Party Committee Secretary Vuong Dinh Hue has received U.S. Ambassador to Viet Nam Daniel J. Kritenbrink.


At the reception, U.S. Ambassador Krenenbrink singled out economic and trade ties between the two countries as a key pillar in bilateral relations and Ha Noi plays an important role in promoting such cooperation. 

He thanked Ha Noi’s authorities and its people for supporting the U.S. Embassy, as well as the U.S. diplomatic mission in the city.

The US Ambassador considered the gift of 150.000 face masks from Ha Noi to the U.S. as a symbol of friendship between the people of the two countries.

He said he believes that the bilateral relationship will further grow in the coming time

The diplomat vowed to do their best to elevate their countries’ relations and co-operation with Viet Nam to a new height.

In turn, Ha Noi Party Committee Secretary Vuong Dinh Hue noted that relations between Viet Nam and the U.Shave developed substantially in recent times, especially in the fields of trade and investment. 

He extended thanks to the Government and people of U.S.  for their valuable assistance, considering it as a source of encouragement for his country. 

Hue said he hopes the United States will overcome the pandemic soon.

He said in the first six months of 2020, Ha Noi has been a pioneer city in Viet Nam in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as during the economic recovery efforts.

Hue hoped the two countries’ close local collaboration will be further strengthened in the coming time.

He stressed Ha Noi would do its utmost to contribute to the U.S. – Viet Nam relations, as well as the city’s cooperation with U.S. cities.

Ha Noi would continue to create favorable conditions for U.S. investors and enterprises doing businesses in Viet Nam, including in the capital city.
