Ha Noi to install European-standard bus shelters with Wifi connection
VGP – The Ha Noi People’s Committee has approved the investment plan for the synchronous construction of bus shelters in Ha Noi and billboards on median strips in 12 inner district in the form of public-private partnership (PPP).

Accordingly, the new waiting sheds will be installed on the eligible routes within the scope of 12 inner districts, namely Ba Dinh, Hai Ba Trung, Long Bien, Thanh Xuan, Hoan Kiem, Tay Ho, Bac Tu Liem, Nam Tu Liem, CauGiay, Hoang Mai, Dong Da and Ha Dong.
The project includes the construction and installation of 600 bus shelters (including 235 new ones and replacing 365 existing ones according to the roadmap), in addition to 1,200 billboards, more than two meters wide, on median strips and 25 Wifi-synchronized touchscreens at some shelter locations suitable for searching travel information and advertising.
The bus shelter system will be constructed towards modernity, meeting European standards and the urban beauty requirements, addressing the shortcomings in the city’s bus shelter investment and monitoring, and enhancing the people’s access to the public passenger transport service by bus.
In the implementation of the project, the city will also rearrange the system of outdoor billboards on the median strips between routes, aiming to ensure synchronism, modernity and civilization.
Investors will cover the entire costs for the construction, operation and maintenance of all the facilities over the course of 20 years.
